Inspection Day is primarily for inspecting the home. The best time to discuss the findings is after your report has been completed and you’ve had an opportunity to review it. Attending the inspection is optional.

- Next Best: Join the inspector near the end of the inspection for a brief 15–20 minute overview. Attending the inspection is optional.

- Your written report contains our final observations, photographs, and recommendations.
- Reviewing the report first provides the full context of our findings and recommendations.
- The best conversations happen when we’re both looking at the report—not relying on memory.
- We’ll gladly answer your questions by phone, Google Meet, Zoom, or email after you’ve reviewed your report.
⏱️ IF YOU ATTEND
To help us provide the best inspection:
- Arrive near the end of the inspection.
- Save most questions for the summary.
- Allow the inspector to work independently.
- Limit additional visitors inside the home.
- Stay out of attics, crawlspaces, roofs, electrical equipment, and other hazardous areas.
A focused inspection produces a better inspection.
🚧 CONTRACTORS
Whenever possible:
- Schedule contractors after the inspection or on another day.
- The inspection often changes repair priorities.
- Multiple contractors, vehicles, and conversations reduce the quality and efficiency of the inspection.

During the inspection:
- BuilderBuddy is responsible for the property under our scheduled appointment.
- Please avoid entering the home or making changes while the inspection is underway whenever possible.
